"Why We Came Back"

Jim & Nicole's Edit

Jim and Nicole first came to us to renovate the combined main bathroom and laundry, along with the ensuite, in their investment property back in August 2025.

When the time came to renovate the bathrooms and laundry in their own home, we were thrilled to hear they wanted to work with us again.

We caught up with Jim and Nicole after their latest Gold Coast bathroom renovation to hear, in their own words, what brought them back a second time.

You can view Jim and Nicole’s first project "Shoreline Coolangatta" via The Project Journal. The terrazzo look tile was a great success first time round, so they chose to bring it into their own home too.

Main Bathroom

Designed to feel calm and considered, the main bathroom pairs soft terrazzo-look tiles with warm timber tones and brushed gunmetal fixtures. A freestanding bath sits alongside the walk-in shower, while the fluted timber vanity and soft grey vessel basin add warmth and texture.

Ensuite

The ensuite continues the same material palette, creating a seamless connection between the two bathrooms. A curved fluted timber vanity brings warmth and softness to the space, while the walk-in shower and concealed storage keep the overall design clean and uncluttered.

 Bathroom Features

Laundry

Designed to make maximum use of a compact footprint, the laundry combines full-height custom cabinetry with thoughtful, concealed storage. The washer and dryer are neatly integrated into the joinery, while a clever pull-out laundry drawer provides a practical folding and sorting station that can be tucked away when not in use.
