Frequently Asked Questions
Planning a bathroom renovation can feel overwhelming, especially with so many questions to consider. We’ve compiled our most frequently asked questions about bathroom renovations on the Gold Coast to help you feel informed, confident, and at ease before getting started.
General Q & A's
Bathroom renovation costs can vary significantly depending on:
• The size of the space
• The condition of the existing bathroom
• Pre existing damage
• Layout and whether reconfiguration is required
• Level of finishes selected
General Guide
Small Bathroom - From $27,000
Standard Bathroom - From $29,000
Large Bathroom - From $35,000
High end projects - From $39,000
It is important to note that custom joinery, mosaic tiles, layout changes, structural work, or premium materials will increase the overall cost.
A typical bathroom renovation generally takes around 2–3 weeks per bathroom, depending on the scope of works, layout changes, and material selections.
Timeframes can vary if structural changes are required, custom joinery is involved, or if multiple bathrooms are being renovated at once. We provide a clear project schedule prior to commencement so you know what to expect at each stage.
Partial works such as shower screen replacements, isolated tiling repairs, or cosmetic updates don’t allow us to guarantee outcomes, as we can’t verify or control the condition of existing substrates, waterproofing, or previous workmanship.
For this reason, we don’t undertake partial bathroom renovations.
Our quotes are provided as fixed-price, with the agreed scope and selections clearly outlined upfront. This means the quoted amount is the final cost, with no hidden fees or surprise charges at the end of the project.
In the event of unforeseen issues uncovered during the process, or if changes are requested, any variations are discussed and agreed in writing with you prior to proceeding.
Are your quotes complimentary?
Yes, our onsite consultations, formalised quotes and 3D Imagery / floor plans are complimentary.
We assist with design ideas, layout planning, and material selections to ensure your bathroom is well considered and suited to your property.
Where a layout update is required, we provide a tailored floor plan and indicative 3D model imagery to help visualise the space. These visuals are used as a guide to support decision-making and may not represent the final finishes or construction details.
Our approach is focused on creating practical, well-balanced layouts paired with thoughtful selections that align with both the space and your overall renovation goals.
We manage complete bathroom renovations from start to finish, ensuring every stage is completed to a consistent, high standard.
Our full-service approach typically includes:
• Full strip-out and demolition of the existing bathroom
• Assessment and preparation of substrates
• Plumbing and electrical works (including any required upgrades)
• Waterproofing in accordance with Australian Standards
• Tiling to floors and walls
• Installation of fixtures, fittings, and custom joinery
• Shower screens, baths, vanities, and toilet installation
• Final detailing, quality checks, and site clean-up
By managing the entire process, we maintain quality control at every stage. This end-to-end approach ensures your bathroom is not only visually refined, but also built correctly beneath the surface — delivering a space that performs well long after completion.
Once your selections have been finalised, we engage with suppliers for all materials required for the renovation, including tiles, fixtures, fittings, and other PC (Prime Cost) items.
Can I supply my own materials?
To maintain quality control and ensure we can confidently stand behind our workmanship and correct allowances, we don’t allow for client-supplied materials.
We manage all trades and stages of the renovation process, coordinating licensed plumbers, electricians, tilers, waterproofers, and other required trades to ensure the project runs smoothly from start to finish.
In most cases, yes — you can remain living in your home during a bathroom renovation. However, the bathroom being renovated will be unavailable for the duration of the works.
There will be periods of noise, dust, and limited access while demolition, waterproofing, tiling, and installation works are underway. We take care to minimise disruption where possible and keep you informed throughout the process so you know what to expect at each stage.
If multiple bathrooms are being renovated or your home has limited facilities, we’ll discuss the best approach with you prior to commencement.

We do undertake laundry renovations when they form part of a larger bathroom renovation project. We don’t typically complete stand-alone laundry renovations on their own.
Yes, we do undertake bathroom renovations in apartments. However, apartment renovations are typically more costly than standard house renovations due to additional logistical requirements.
These can include restricted access, the use of stairs or lifts, set working hours, and the need to cut and prepare materials off-site or in designated areas of the building. All of these factors can impact labour time and overall project costs.
We assess each apartment renovation individually to ensure all requirements are accounted for and clearly communicated upfront.
We ensure quality and compliance by operating as a fully licensed building company, using qualified trades, and completing all works in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and building regulations.
